![]() Remind also gives each student the same option to communicate with his/her teacher. Remind gives a teacher the convenient, easy, and quick way to communicate with his/her students, either individually or as a class. Covid has made it very clear to me what the big deal with Remind is. When I returned to teaching in the fall of 2018, I knew some teachers were using Remind but I did not see what the big deal was. Thanks for sharing! Please reach out to us via Rmd.me/help and we will be happy to look into this and assist further.Ī great teacher-to-student ap and vice versa It’s also difficult to find contacts when parents and students are not separated or filed easily, especially using it in the primary grades where the main contact or only contact is with a parent (you still need to know who’s parent they are) and adding that to the “notes” is not the best option. If it’s being presented as a tool for constant communication in an educational context it would be most helpful to sort msgs or find attachments somehow in a way that’s efficient and organized. The new features to attach files from different platforms is amazing but if you can’t receive msgs in a way that’s easy to organize, you might as well stick to email for more classroom related tasks like assignments and schoolwork communication. You’d have to download or copy the attached picture right away because if you miss it or if you don’t do it immediately then you might as well forget it. However finding individual texts is very difficult to do.there’s no way to sort or organize msgs and if you receive images or attachments from members (students) they are also extremely difficult to find after several threads. To do this, open the Settings app, go to Remote -> Clickpad -> Click Only.Awesome for texting but lacks features for educatorsīeing able to text people in a class or small groups is amazing and very helpful. The new Apple TV remote is designed to be used with either trackpad touch gestures or button presses. Press Play when you reach your newly desired playback point. If you just want to flick to some place later in the video, pause the video and swipe left or right on the trackpad to jump around. Precise scrubbing is often unnecessary however. If you want to cancel the gesture, press the Back button on the remote and the video will return to its original position. When you find the moment you are looking for, click the center of the clickpad to unpause and confirm your new position. A preview of the selected frame will appear floating above the progress bar. Then, you can move your finger in a circular motion around the trackpad to advance forward and back.Hold it there until you see the circular indicator popup around the playback indicator on-screen. Rest your finger on the outer-edge of the circular clickpad. To scrub, pause the current video if it is playing.Wait for circular indicator to appear then scrub. This allows you to precisely scrub around the current playing point. On the latest-generation Apple TV remote, the remote hardware with the circular touch-sensitive clickpad at the top, it is also possible to navigate around video using a rotational scrubbing gesture. When you are done, simply click the center of the touch surface to stop fast forwarding and continue playback from the point. You can press again to go to an even faster 3x speed. This will add a number 2 to the on-screen progress bar, indicating it is advancing at twice the speed. To make it fast forward faster, press the right edge again. You can release your finger’s press when the fast forward has started. ![]() ![]() A fast forward icon will be visible in the on-screen progress bar. This will start advancing playback at a faster speed. To fast forward the currently playing video, whilst a video is unpaused, long-press on the right edge of the Apple TV remote (on the newest Apple TV remote, this area is indicated with a dot on the circular D-Pad). On older Apple TV remotes, the top half of the remote is a glass trackpad which can be pressed in. On a newer Apple TV remote, the touch surface is circular and the middle circular region is clickable. Alternatively, press once on the touch surface. To pause or play the current video, simply press the physical Play/Pause button on the remote.
